For no particular reason, I woke up today feeling blissful. I felt calm, peaceful, grateful. For a moment, It felt like all my life worries didn’t matter. My problems seemed small.

I let myself sleep in. Switched off my 5 am alarm and snuggled into my blanket. Indulged in the morning bed with a big smile on my face.

Is it one of those biological reactions that release some emergency chemical in the time of stress? Whatever it is, it’s a good reminder for me to take a breather.

These days, we’re often caught up in our day to day problems that everything feels so daunting. We hardly have the time to pause. To see how small our problems are in the giant scale of things. To know that everything shall pass. To appreciate the fact that we’re living. We’re breathing. And that’s a pretty darn amazing thing.

So no matter how fast the pace of your life is. Remember to take a time to just breathe. Once in a while, let yourself binge watch a series, do nothing for the whole day, travel to a new place.

Sometimes you just need to get away for a while to come back stronger.
