8. All suffering ends
Hardships are inevitable. They’re part of the life package we signed up for the instant we came to this world.
When we get caught in the middle of them, it is easy to crumble. The pain feels so intense. The emptiness seems perpetual.
I’ve gone through my fair share of tough times. I’ve dealt with many failures, excruciating conversations and moments of uncertainty. Going through them was distressful. At those moments, It felt like my whole life revolved around the suffering.
Now when I look back, I simply laugh them off. Amused by how agitated I got. Grateful of how much I grew because they happened. And mostly surprised by how little I remember about how bad I felt.
That’s why it’s important to look beyond your current problem. Because it’s temporary. Because there is an end to everything in this world. And that includes the greatest suffering you might be going through now.
So give yourself the time to process your pain, then fix it, or get over it. Put it to an end and move on to the bigger things in life. There will always be new opportunities and exciting possibilities awaiting you.
Where you are now does not define who you are or what you can become. There’s so much more to life that whatever you’re currently dealing with. So live on. And have faith. Because it will come to an end.
